Trendway’s list of products with environmental attributes continues to grow.
TRENDWAY RECEIVES INDOOR AIR QUALITY CERTIFICATION
FOR ITS CHOICES® PANEL SYSTEM
HOLLAND, MI . . . Trendway Corporation announced today that its popular Choices® panel system has achieved SCS (Scientific Certification Systems) Indoor Advantageä certification for indoor air quality.
“This certification of our Choices product's environmental attributes is significant for Trendway because it's the first of several we hope to obtain in the future,” noted Jim Dowling, Trendway environmental compliance administrator. “What is especially satisfying is that we didn't need to change anything about the product – these environmental qualities have been part of the product and our manufacturing right from the beginning. Now we're eager to have our other products evaluated.”
The certification demonstrates conformance with the emissions standards of both USGBC LEED-CI Credit EQ4.5 Option B (systems furniture and seating) and BIFMA X 7.1 low-emitting office furniture and seating. SCS Indoor Advantage certification is administered by the independent third-party certifier SCS (Scientific Certification Systems) of Emeryville, California. The certification relies on data collected through small chamber testing, which allows manufacturers to examine a product’s individual components to aid in further product development.
