Trendway expands its list of products with environmental attributes.
TRENDWAY RECEIVES AIR QUALITY CERTIFICATION
FOR ITS CHOICESâ AND INTRINSICâ FILING AND STORAGE LINES
HOLLAND, MI . . . Trendway Corporation announces that it has achieved SCS (Scientific Certification Systems) Indoor Advantageä certification for indoor air quality for its Choicesâ filing and storage, Intrinsicâ filing and storage, and C-Ped storage pedestals.
“We continue to earn the Indoor Advantage certification for our various product lines,” says Bill Bundy, Trendway president. “We now have a significant selection of our offerings that meet a high level of environmental quality, and we expect to add more Trendway product families to this distinguished certification in the near future.”
The certification demonstrates conformance with the emissions standards of the following: BIFMA Furniture Emissions Standards M7.1 and X7.1; Indoor Air Quality emissions criteria (EQ 4.5) for building products as specified in the USGBC Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating Systems; ISO Type 1 (14024) and Type 2 (14021) environmental labeling and declaration requirements; and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims.
SCS Indoor Advantage certification is administered by the independent third-party certifier SCS (Scientific Certification Systems) of Emeryville, California. The certification relies on data collected through small chamber testing, which allows manufacturers to examine a product’s individual components to aid in further product development.
